Job Description

We're helping a local company thats super stable and family oriented find a great Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical Tester (experience with PCB Repair is a key requirement) that's responsible for mechanical and/or electrical servicing of material, devices, and products, including customer returns, and for maintaining test fixtures and equipment. This role pays up to $50,000 plus benefits including pto, medical and 401k match.

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, service and test customer returns and production systems
Record and maintain test data and service information for company products
Provide cost estimates, time estimates and service information to Support for customer repairs
Calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment
Provide technical assistance to other departments, including troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
Back up responsibilities for other Technicians
Identify and document opportunities to improve designs for product realization, field service, and sales (DFM/DFX)
Perform PCB, unit and top level tests for company products as directed during the production cycle and according to company procedures
Work cross-departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action items
Support development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions
Participate in the root cause analysis process and support resulting corrective action plans (CAPA)

Knowledge, Skils & Abilities: :
5 years of overall Experience and 3 or more years as an Electronics Technician with strong experience in printed circuit board repair (PCB repair).
Additional college or vocational school training is a plus
Lean manufacturing experience is strongly desired
Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of basic electronics theory.
Able to interpret electronic schematics and identify electronic components, their function, and proper placement on a PCB
Proper use of equipment testing and troubleshooting tools, including oscilloscope and digital multi-meter
Proficient in soldering and re-work techniques in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/21 electronic assembly and rework standards; knowledge of other relevant PCB and PCBA standards is a plus
Proper working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures
Capable of understanding and working within complex medical quality standards and regulations including ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EC MDD 39/42/EEC, CA SOR 98/282, etc. If no prior medical experience, Mil-spec experience is a plus
Knowledge of advanced quality problem solving and analysis techniques for performing root cause analysis
Able to work overtime as required to support company requirements and departmental needs
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and work both in teams and independently
Attention to detail and quality of work are required skills
Ability to perform repetitive, precision assembly, testing, and repair tasks with a proficiency in the use of hand tools, test equipment, and magnification in a manufacturing environment
Perform physical activities (lifting up to 50 lbs.) that require considerable use of arms and legs and occasionally moving whole body repeatedly, such as walking and balancing (able to work 8 to 10 hours)
