Job Description

We are seeking a product manager for a great start up in Tampa, FL. This positions pays $90k plus. Medical Device and start up experience a huge plus. Join a dynamic start-up introducing exciting diabetes solutions to a global market. Contribute you're your corporate and start-up medical device marketing and customer service expertise. Must be proven in both product management and customer service in preferably both corporate and start-up environments.

Product Manager Job Duties:

Product Management

  • Product - Manage the current product portfolio supporting launch and further commercialization efforts and international market expansion
  • Maintain a depository of critical company and product info for easy access and consistent info provided the market place
  • Labeling - Maintain and produce all current packaging, user manual, other package components Drive compliance with labeling and FDA related changes/implementation - coordination with OEM manufacturing/regulatory team.
  • Work closely with Operations to help implement all business infra structure, product logistics needs


  • Assess market competition by comparing company product to competitive products
  • Develop and maintain social media strategies
  • Assist VP Marketing in identifying and executing market strategies
  • Support sales team in sales efforts; understanding their sales challenges and implementing programs that drive revenue

Product Development

  • Gather voice of customer through market research, sales calls, conference participation and bring to product development efforts
  • Assist in the development of product specifications and development plan
  • Work with development team to ensure timely launch of product that reflects desired VOC

Marketing Communication

  • Work with agencies to develop and maintain collateral, exhibition material, website
  • Work w admin on PO and invoice processing system to ensure good visibility and appropriate payment
  • Assist in the evolution of brand messaging, positioning and look and feel

Conference Management

  • Manage the logistics and details of several conferences a year.

Customer Support

  • Responsible for definition and implementation of Customer Support System for Smart Meter
  • Oversee daily management of customer's customer support system
  • Point person for triaging any issues brought to Smart Meter from 3rd party customer support agent.
  • Develop monitoring tools to understand call volume, ramp-up triggers, FAQs that need to be developed, product issues that could indicate a trend of product failure
  • Work cross functionally to implement a complaint handling system that will grow with company's market success
