Our client is specifically looking for a Senior Project Manager to:

  • Lead everyone involved to achieve project objectives on time, quality and cost
  • Manage steering committee, customer, user and Group IT stakeholders, incl. communications, relationships & expectations
  • Maneuver the project through its context, encompassing e.g. conflicting priorities or objectives, dependencies and events
  • Plan, monitor and control all aspects of a project
  • Communicate and clarify project objectives and deliverables to project team.
Your individual responsibilities would entail the following:
Manage projects:

  • Own project time, quality and cost
  • Secure project staffing, considering project specific complexity, challenges and skill needs
  • Lead project team to achieve project objectives on time, quality and cost
    • Get project team and members engaged in meeting project objectives and delivering with reliability
  • Champion both project objectives and the business objectives being enabled
  • Engage and partner with project sponsor, with the objective to achieve joint accountability for project success
  • Engage with project steering committee and relevant line management stakeholders to establish commitment and manage expectations
  • Ensure continuous involvement, communication, anchoring and expectations management with requirements stakeholders and customers
  • Maneuver the project through its context, encompassing e.g. conflicting priorities or objectives, dependencies and events
  • Plan, monitor and control all aspects of a project
  • Limit lead time to value and ensure control of value delivery, by limiting project duration or splitting a project into several go-lives
  • Manage project change in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Manage project risks, issues and dependencies with ownership, control and resolution orientation
Diffuse and infuse structural capital:

  • Coach internal and external part-time/temporary project managers
  • Perform peer reviews of part-time/temporary project managers' work at key toll-gates
  • Participate in project post mortems/lessons learned
Manage Vendor agreement and delivery:

  • Take part in Procurement process
  • Own business agreement during project duration
  • Plan, monitor and control vendor´s project tasks or vendor´s project manager
Collaborate and communicate:

  • Assist in communications that involve implementing policies that may be somewhat complex and controversial
  • Conduct external communications with a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective long-term relationships typically with regular/primary contacts in customer organizations

Education Requirements:
  • Degree in the field of IT management, engineering, economics or business administration, or equivalent training
  • PMP/PMI or equivalent certification
