Position Type: Direct-Hire

Hourly / Salary: BOE! + 25% Targeted Bonus Structure

Remote Options: 1-day a week there is an established standard option to work remotely.

Travel: Minimal Travel Required (>10%) - Occasional National Travel to internal company sites, may be required 1x every few of months. The locations of possible travel include TX, CA, NY, NJ, and DC. There is no anticipated International Travel, at this time.

INTERVIEW PROCESS (2-STEP PROCESS)

  • Phone Interview - An initial technical phone interview will be conducted by the Director of Development. This call will be to assess the potential candidates technical skills and will be less behavioral in nature.
  • Face-to-Face Interview - Assuming the candidate passes the technical phone interview, the onsite interview will be more focused on personality and cultural fit (more behavioral in nature).

JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Mobile Product Manager for a Direct-Hire opportunity located in Euless, TX. One year ago, our client purchased a company that focused on Mobile Applications, within our clients specific industry. The Mobile Product Manager is a new position that will assist in hiring 2 additional Mobile Developers locally to blend in with 2 existing offshore Mobile Developers that are already staffed. The Mobile Product Manager MUST come from a previous development background building successful Mobile Applications and has since grown into a Management role. The current focus of the Mobile Product Manager will be on 3 existing Mobile Applications (iOS / Android) that are utilized both internally and are sold externally to customers. The Mobile Product Manager will be evaluating the current applications and strategize new features / functionalities to help promote continued business growth, capabilities, and functionalities. The Mobile Product Manager will be responsible for all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in developing mobile products. The Mobile Product Manager will utilize cutting edge technologies and Agile Methodology and will work closely with leadership partners / customers to rapidly design, develop, and deliver mobile solutions. The Mobile Product Manager should be well-versed in mobile application development and User Experience (UX) to create cutting-edge solutions for customers.

  • 3 Mobile Application Details
    • Customer Application - Realtime Tracking / Messaging Capabilities, etc.
    • Vehicle Application / Tablet Application - Digital Ticketing System for Signatures (similar to UPS)
    • Employee Application - Accessing Schedules / Exchanging Information / Clocking In & Out, etc.
    • Work with Leadership / Customers to Support / Develop / Implement Scalable Robust Solutions - Increase Efficiencies / Improve User Experience (UX)
    • Utilize Agile Methodology to Plan Sprints / Launches - Iterate Based on User Feedback, etc.
    • Successful Delivery of Projects in an Agile Environment
    • Manage Feature Prioritization / Scoping / Cost / Timeline Estimates
    • Plan / Staff / Aid the Activities of the Software Developers / Engineers / Architects / Analysts
    • Manage Local / Offshore Development Teams
    • Manage Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) / Lead Requirement Gathering / Create Documentation / Development / Testing Activities
    • Ensure Team Goals Align with Leadership / Customer Needs
    • Coordinate User Group Meetings Across Customers / Departments
    • Identify / Proactively Mitigate Issus / Risks Around Daily Operations / Projects / Production Applications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Mobile Product Management (3+ years) - UX (User Experience) / Launching / Managing Mobile / Web Products
  • JavaScript Frameworks (2+ years) - AngularJS / Ember / ReactJS / JQuery, etc.
  • Cross-Platform Mobile Software Development / Engineering - AngularJS / Ionic / React-Native
  • Source Code Management - GIT, etc.
  • WebServices - Develop / Utilize REST WebServices / WebAPI
  • Relational / NoSQL Databases - Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MongoDB
  • TDD (Test-Driven Development) / BDD (Behavioral-Driven Development)
  • Agile Development Methodology - Plan Sprints / Launches / Iterate Based on User Feedback

NOTE: There is an established AWS / RoR Team that handles this side of the development. The below skills would be nice-to-have skill sets but are not required for this role.
