Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as liaison between an organization's development team and end users, which entails defining product functionality necessary to create value for the organization and customers
  • Works closely with Solution Strategists to keep them current on product capabilities & provides high level technical support
  • Interacts with product end users to identify highly desired product features or components
  • Analyzes and studies market trends to identify changes in consumer taste requirements
  • Communicates and interacts with other product owners to exchange ideas on product capabilities
  • Serves as a voice to project the expectations of customers on new or already existing products
  • Highlights product features in a manner clearly understandable to both the development & business teams
  • Manages and develops a product backlog for implementation
  • Contacts customers and end users to obtain information on expected product features
  • Provides reports to update management and stakeholders on product development operations
  • Assesses product value stream to identify areas that require improvements & sponsors corporate projects as necessary
  • Measures product performance as well as value delivered to clients in order to make adjustments where necessary
  • Develops and implements action plans for building and sustaining demand for a product
  • Ensures implemented product features add value to end users and increase company returns

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Specific marketing experience required based on product: Mobile products and apps including; CX/UX, APIs, web analytics, financial technology or PeopleSoft and ABS
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years product management or development experience in insurance, travel, or financial services preferred
