Job Snapshot

Job Description

Do you love content? Are you interested in helping creators get their content live to the world?

Vaco UK has partnered with our client in London in search of a Movie/TV Partner Operations Specialist for an exciting full time opportunity. Candidate must live and be able to work in London.

You will be part of a team of dedicated individuals who are extremely proactive, efficient, and responsible. You are a quick learner who can work independently as well as part of a team, and who applies sound judgment when needing to escalate issues. Finally, you are comfortable and able to quickly adjust to changes in fast-paced environment.

Job Spec:
As a Partner Operations Specialist in Content Operations you will work with studios, networks, and post-production houses throughout Europe to facilitate content ingestion, processing, and publishing to our clients transactional film and TV services, which are rapidly expanding worldwide. While many partners are major film and TV distributors, others will have little experience with a global digital distribution platform, and it is your role to be their empathetic and diplomatic guide into this space while still enforcing our processes, policies, and specs to ensure a high level of quality and operational efficiency on both sides.

You'll be helping our content partners get their content live (the stuff you watch!) on our service. It's not easy; there's data-entry, ingestion debugging and launch after launch after launch. You may be responsible for any of the following scheduled and ad hoc tasks/projects:
  • Packaging and ingesting video, metadata, and artwork deliveries from partners or their post production houses
  • Reviewing the various storefronts we have worldwide for accuracy in pricing, availability, and metadata
  • Addressing partner inquires/issues submitted via our ticketing system
  • Leading or participating in data clean-up projects
  • Independently analyze situations and problem-solve, often with limited tools
  • Onboard new content partners and facilitate the expansion of their content availability worldwide.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing partners - ensuring that their content is live on the service within availability windows, has correct pricing, and that all new release content is live on time while at the same time responding to any technical issues they may be facing with ingestion (e.g., Aspera connections, misformatted XML, video quality issues)

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
* Thorough understanding of and passion for video, YouTube, and the Internet
* High attention to detail
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to work on tight daily deadlines
* Experience with: XML, SFTP, Aspera, TV/film post-production workflows

Preferred qualifications:
Skilled communicator. Positive client-facing attitude for troubleshooting and timely resolution.
Experience working as part of a team at another digital platform (e.g., Netflix, XBox, Vudu), major studio/network, or post-production facility specializing in servicing digital platforms.
Inventory process flow experience involving data mining/statistical analysis.
Strong knowledge of Excel, with working knowledge of HTML, XML. Ability to manage and track large volumes of data.
Understanding of film and TV requirements/regulations worldwide.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluency in English
