Job Description

As a Music Content Specialist, you are a self-starter who will ramp up quickly to contribute to our
Music Programming team. You have experience working as a playlist curator, music journalist or
critic, or editor for a digital music service. You are well-versed in the music genre of Hip-Hop music.
Additionally, you bring strong analytical abilities and impeccable oral and written communication
skills. You possess a high degree of comfort and flexibility when working cross-functionally with
product, design, marketing, engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience.
You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to develop new ideas and scalable
processes. You bring a proven ability to prioritize, meet critical deadlines, and take on challenging
tasks with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset.
● Create, update, optimise, commission and QA a large ecosystem of music playlists for Hip-Hop
● Maintain a detailed, localised, Music Programming calendar for your market
● Monitoring - and reacting to - the performance of playlists and campaigns
● QAing the overall quality of product features and recommendations for your market
Minimum Requirements
● BA/BS required (Manager is open to degree).
● 2-3 years in an editorial/programming role for a mobile, music or online digital content business
● Deeply passionate about music
● Deep knowledge and understanding Hip-Hop music
● Strong editorial and creative skills -- ability to craft messaging and work with design and production
resources to drive creative execution.
● Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze research or performance data and apply that analysis to
optimize our programming strategy
● Knowledge of and experience with online best practices
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working for a music streaming service
