Job Description



Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology of this growing financial services company, the Senior .NET Application Developer designs, develops, enhances, and maintains systems and integrations. The ability to work in collaboration with a wide variety of constituencies, including leadership teams, functional leaders, clients and technology staff is essential.





Responsibilities:

  • Develops, modifies and maintains assigned programs and responds to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding

o Participate in the day to day support of existing systems, development efforts, and projects.

o Develop technical documents to accurately represent application design and code

  • Provide solutions to complex IT related challenges in the organization
  • Conducts planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks

o Identify, implement, and support system and data integrations

o Participate in the development of technical and business requirements for the purposes of evaluating and selecting new applications and platforms

o Responsible for updating technology platforms based on plan design changes and/or regulatory changes

o Must routinely meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines

o Maintain a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude





Qualifications

o 5 years of professional knowledge within .NET Framework with a minimum of 3 years of working experience and coding in:

o Microsoft .NET Framework and Core

o C#, VB.NET, RESTful Web Services, SOAP WebServices, AngularJS, jQuery, MSSQL, HTML/HTML5, JSON, JavaScript, CSS3

o Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft IIS

o Database development using Microsoft SQL or Oracle

o Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft IIS

o Ability to identify and diagnose database related issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions

o Familiarity with data integration tools such as Jitterbit, Boomi, or Informatica a plus

o Good communication and teamwork skills are required, including the ability to work independently

o Experience with financial services organizations or third-party benefit administrators a plus

o Ability to work closely with business leaders and partners in gathering and documenting requirements, and proposing effective processes and solutions

o Experience with business process modeling, requirements analysis, solution development

o Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a team environment

o Strategic thinker constantly looking for opportunities to improve performance, drive growth

o Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
