Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Perform software analysis, design, and programming for a variety of console, desktop, and web applications following Health Decisions defined software development life cycle methodology
Assist in all aspects of the software development process, including requirements gathering, UI design, programming, code reviews, unit/integration testing, and maintenance
Generate, monitor, and maintain databases for the storage of study specific data for assigned projects
Communicate with team members, product manager, business analysts, software quality analysts, and internal clients during application development, configuration, and support
Actively communicate status and timelines to lead
Escalate risks, roadblocks, and potential gaps to lead
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) of code base
Maintain system documentation
Participate in and support the Change Management process as needed.
Participate in technical tradeoff conversations and offer alternative solutions in support of the product direction and service delivery.
Adhere to documented corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a BS in Computer Science or an equivelent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience in a structured SDLC-driven development environment. Experience in the following technology:

C#, ASP.NET MVC (3+), HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, JSON, Angular, SQL Server, T-SQL, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, IIS, Git, Jenkins, MSBuild, NUnit, Spring.NET, XML, Data Visualization, AWS, Node.js

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate problems and solutions both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational, presentation, documentation and interpersonal skills. Strong desire and flexibility to learn new technology, tools subject-matter areas and context. Knowledge of ICH, GCP, 21CFR11, FISMA and other industry regulations is prefered. Experience working with Agile methodologies is desirable.
