The Senior .NET / UI Developer will be cross-utilized for both UI / UX Design / Development as well as C# / ASP.NET Development, where needed. The Senior .NET / UI Developer should be comfortable with and have a strong track record of designing and developing UI / UX clickable prototypes in tandem with hands-on .NET Development experience. The Senior .NET / UI Developer will have an active voice and help lead / drive the .NET / UI Development, including proposing the best technologies, design methodologies, and the subsequent development / application support. This company has grown exponentially over the last several years and have branched into creating complex applications to handle international / multilingual / multi-currency applications as well as creating 3 different and unique ways to access their products via mobile applications. The Senior .NET / UI Developer will have an active voice in and drive the development of mission critical applications. • The current technology stack is all Microsoft, C# and resides on physical servers.
  • The plan is to transition to a cloud based open source tech stack, (specific tools not yet chosen, as these two Architect / Developers will help select the actual tools).
  • Our client has an excellent team of developers, skilled in MS and C#, SQL Server but lack experience coding and porting applications over to open stack, cloud based technology.
  • The Architect / Coder, Player / Coach will first familiarize themselves with the functionality of the systems and evaluate current usage. The next step will be to split various application aspects into modules. Presume approximately 18 modules. Next they will code the first open source module, test it, own it and implement it. Then demonstrate to the team HOW they did it. This will repeat itself through the first 6 modules (1/3 of the project).
  • Upon completion of the first 1/3 of modules, The Coder / Player will now become the Mentor / Coach, guiding the development team though additional conversions and implementations.
  • The "Magic" component is that while the Architect / Coder / Player / Coach must have a complete understanding of the Microsoft / C# world, they must have led a transition to open source technologies and hyper scalable architecture.
  • MUST be a builder/coder that can deliver the code.
  • MUST have excellent communications and the ability to influence others.
  • Looking for someone with the confidence to say: "Not only can I build it (Architect it) but I can code it, implement it and then coach others to do the same".
  • The End Goal: To be able to simultaneously run all company systems on metal (Physical Servers), Azure and AWS, so they are highly scalable and NOT held hostage by any one hosting or technology company for licensing or hosting costs. Spin up here, spin down there at will.
  • Where Others Have Failed: Others have failed the initial interview when they were unable to answer this: "Tell me how YOU transitioned legacy .NET code over to Open source technology?"
