POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring network standards and best practices are followed. Conducts tasks and activities required to fully design, test, implement, monitor, and maintain Century's network, systems, and infrastructure. Emphasis on coordinating project deliverables between departments, and ensuring that tasks are completed on time with full documentation.



    • Ensure network standards and best practices are observed
    • Ensure that audit and security requirements are followed and documented
    • Coordinate long-running projects between departments including creation of shared documentation, timelines, maintenance windows, and resource scheduling
    • Create/maintain Century IT purchase orders
    • Maintain IT asset tagging and IT inventory database
    • Ensure that server rooms and all IT storage areas are organized and secure
    • Manage tasks and helpdesk tickets within Century's scheduling tools
    • Assist IT Teams with the operation of Century's internal applications
    • Create and maintain robust documentation for network design and operation


    • Configure/install new hardware including employee workstations
    • Administer 1st & 2nd level technical support for Century staff and customers.
    • Provision accounts and permissions in accordance with best practices and with proper audit trails
    • Support and install system/application updates on user systems
    • Recommend and test process improvements for routine user configuration tasks


    • Ensure proper operation of backup and DR systems, including scheduled testing and auditing
    • Verify that servers are being appropriately monitored, and that any alerts are being acted upon
    • Identify maintenance requirements and coordinate outage windows with application owners to ensure systems are being properly maintained
    • Assist with new system design and implementations
    • Administer business application systems within the scope of the network team
    • Maintain familiarity with all critical infrastructure and networking systems in use
    • Troubleshoot systems issues to a root cause and recommend steps to resolve
    • Provide department coverage for routine work


    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.


    • Considerable knowledge and experience in conducting systems development tasks such as designing system architecture and flow, preparing design and file specifications, designing new documents and reports, and preparing program requirements and specifications.
    • Considerable knowledge and experience to conduct systems enhancement design and maintenance.
    • Understands the importance of maintaining the systems integrity of design, logic, and data.
    • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.
    • Proficiency in using and supporting Microsoft products.
    • Self-motivated. Good communication, organizational and analytical skills.


    • Two-year degree with emphasis in IT, IT technical certification, MCP certifications, or equivalent work experience required
    • 3 - 5 years' experience administering Windows Server in a business environment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 - Skype, SharePoint, and Exchange preferred
    • Microsoft Azure IaaS and/or Virtualization experience preferred
