Job Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of moderately complex network and communication systems for the company. The Network Engineer will provide top level technical support for the definition, development, and integration of service delivery.

Primary Job Function:

  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing process and procedures require change to improve service delivery
  • Expertly understand and apply advance network administration, management and performance tuning techniques
  • Act as a lead and direct internal and external resources in support of configuration and optimization of network infrastructure services
  • Function as technical liaison for infrastructure related project activities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the network
  • Maintain strict change control of network infrastructure

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years or equivalent experience supporting critical enterprise networks
  • Deep understanding of network topologies, routing, switching, voice and traffic shaping
  • Cisco Certification and experience with Cisco switches (up to Nexus switches), firewalls, routers and wireless
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Deep understanding of VoIP and VoIP protocols
  • Experience with storage protocols (e.g., iSCSI, FC, and FCoE)
  • Experience with VPN tunnels, ACL's and DMVPN
  • Experience with SD networking
  • Experience with IPS and IDS
  • Experience managing enterprise environments designing and supporting OLAs and SLAs
  • Experience in responding to IT Audits
  • Experience in designing network and security strategies
  • Experience with load balancers
