Job Description

As a NOC Technician you would be responsible for the Folowing: monitoring systems, answering calls, performing system checks and handling support tickets.


  • Monitor data center hardware platforms for hardware and operating systems related alerts, errors, warnings, and performance
  • Collects logs, error bundles and other necessary information, then escalates unresolved second- or higher-level issues promptly
  • Document information on incoming calls in the ticket system to track issue counts and response and resolution time.
  • Monitor system software within data center
  • Monitor data center environmental control and power systems to include A/C units, PDU's and backup generators
  • Collect statistical information, research problems, logs and ending of jobs/tasks
  • Responsible for execution and timely completion of all backup tasks and the reporting of any problems
  • Respond rapidly to issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Qualifications of NOC Technician:

  • Bachelor' s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience working operations and help desk environment
  • MUST have AT LEAST one IT Professional Certificate (ITIL, A+, Network +, CCNA or CSSA)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with Windows, TCP/IP, networking and Cisco
  • Experience building servers, installing operating systems and network monitoring software such as Whatsup Gold, Nimsoft, System Center or Solarwinds
  • Experience with help desk ticketing software
  • Experience with Windows Server, amd Linux
