Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and maintain overall architecture/design of our perimeter security posture
  • Define the technology roadmap for security technology within the data centers and the cloud
  • Lead teams of technical, cross-functional resources to mitigate security concerns, architecture issues and vendor defects
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams like network, cloud, and security groups to ensure Enterprise compliance, high availability and long-term viability of key solutions
  • Work with project management staff and clients to make sure that our perimeter security platforms meet the business requirements including growth
  • Act as a tier 3 or 4 resource for high visibility data center security or connectivity issues
  • Act as a security "subject matter expert" (SME) regarding security architecture, connectivity, and threat analysis

Required Skills:

  • 5 or more years of experience with Enterprise firewalls (e.g. Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto engineering and architecture required.
  • 5 or more years of experience with data center or cloud support
  • Experience working with APIs with multiple Integration tools and patterns (Servicenow, Ansible, Python, etc.)
  • Experience working with support teams located in different physical locations including international locations
  • Experience building, deploying, monitoring, and supporting systems using a management console based architecture
  • Experience delivering projects using an agile methodology and development practices


Preferred Skills:

  • Remote Access support or previous networking experience
  • Experience using Lean Service Management practices used to deliver infrastructure quality
  • Experience with Deere and/or Industry Standard Security Protocols (e.g. SSO, OAuth, SAML, CIMS, EUA, RBAC)
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud tools and technologies
  • Experience using and managing virtual platforms (Cloudguard, VSEC, etc)
  • Working knowledge of PKI and cryptography
  • Previous work with proxy or DDOS systems


Education
(or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Managing Information Systems
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Managing Information Systems
  • Security and Network certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, or SANS
