Job Description

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive administration of a network in a 300+ seat, multi-site environment with significant experience operating WAN technologies such as SD-WAN (e.g. VeloCloud).
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco and other Information Security devices (ASA, Firepower, various SEIM technologies).
  • 5+ years of experience in a SIP / VoIP environment, preferably administering Avaya Aura or equivalent Contact Center Platforms. Experience with Unified Communications and administration of a multi-channel contact center solution required. Some familiarity with TDM / Analog systems is preferred.
  • Experience working at a credit union or within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and conduct research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Possess industry certifications (CCNA, etc.) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Applied knowledge ofLAN, WAN, MPLS, and voice applications and systems.
  • Applied knowledge in networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, AD, GP), active directory, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, NAT, RIP, EIGRP), VLAN's, network prioritization.
  • Applied knowledge in virtual server, storage and network environments including software-defined networking.
  • Working knowledge of computer network systems, operations and job flow.

The incumbent of this job typically spends time operating equipment as follows:

  • Cisco IOS, Cisco Security Software (such as Firepower IDS) (25%)

  • PBX / Telephony skills (includes switchboards and consoles and contact center configurations such as ACD, IVR, skilling, station provisioning, and contact center reporting / supervision applications) (25%)

  • Document copiers and facsimile machines (negligible)
