Job Description

We are looking for an Oracle DBA. This is a Full Time Role. No Sponsorship Available or 3rd Parties Please
  • Primarily responsible for basic day-to-day Oracle administration.
  • Creates and maintains reports as required by the business.
  • Keeps Oracle databases patched and on latest appropriate/feasible versions
  • Performs server and system health checks on a daily basis.
  • Troubleshoot problematic database issues and performance problems
  • Orchestrates performance testing and strategies
  • Works with development team to build and deploy their software releases
  • Maintains and enhances system security framework to adhere with industry/Sage best practices
  • Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels.
  • Maintains existing and develops new reporting stored procedures as requested by the business. Has a deep understanding of Pl/SQL in this area.
  • Advanced knowledge of backup and redundancy concepts, including RAC, Data Guard etc.
  • Interfaces with key business stakeholders to arrive at new requirements for the system from a data standpoint
  • Understanding of schema design and data modeling.
  • Comfortable working on multiple high priority tasks and interacting with business unit leads to resolve issues.
  • Ready to learn new database technologies.
  • On-Call rotation and engage with other teams whenever required.
  • Independent contributor and own project assigned with innovation and value additions.
  • 7+ years on Oracle Database Administration, DB backup, restore and cloning.
  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle 11g/12c, RAC, Data Guard
  • 4+ years of SQL, PL/SQL script writing. Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers
  • 2+ years on Replication using Shareplex or similar technologies
  • 7+ years Database Configuration and Release Management
  • 5+ years on MySQL and replication
  • 5+ Shell Script Writing
  • 5+ Years in Oracle Enterprise Manager

Desired Skills
  • Other database experience (i.e. MongoDB, MS SQL)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate across a broad spectrum of users
