As a Patient Registration Specialist, you will accurately gather information from patients and execute various adminstrative functions, such as reception and clerical work.

Additional responsibilities of the Patient Registration Specialist include:

  • Timely and accurate patient registration, complete data transfer paperwork and other relevant hospital forms, as well as maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Entering and verifying patient demographic, employment and billing information accurately.
  • Performing several administrative functions including verifying insurance to executing admissions, collecting and processing co-pays, and estimating deposits for admissions.
  • Assisting self-pay patients prepare a financial payment plan, making payment arrangements, and/or discussing charity options.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to inquiries aimed at hospital services and procedures.
