Job Description

Vaco is actively seeking a payroll professional to fill a fantastic Payroll Administrator/Processor job in Santa Monica. If you have strong experience working in payroll and are looking for a new opportunity to grow, this could be a match for you. This is a temporary opportunity that is set to last 3-6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll checks on a bi-weekly basis for multi-state employees
  • Use HR and payroll systems to approve status changes with new hires, terminations and transfers
  • Set up direct deposits, tax forms and garnishments
  • Address employee questions regarding payroll
  • Data entry adjustments for all time and attendance and personnel transactions
  • Assist manager in bi-weekly audit and payroll balancing procedures
  • Manage and enter wage garnishments, Levies and child support orders
  • Import and audit vendor transactions and posting of payments including, flexible spending, 401(k), etc


  • Two or more years of experience processing high volume payroll
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Superb Excel skills
  • Great problem solving and communications
