Job Description

Vaco is searching for payroll candidates for a great client of ours in the Ball Ground area. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for assisting the Accounting and Finance department in building out the payroll function.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and process payroll for multiple states
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities
  • Reconcile payroll to general ledger
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
  • Responsible for payroll systems maintenance
  • Maintain employee leave balances, benefit payroll deductions, and garnishments
  • Review quarterly payroll tax reports for federal and multiple states
  • Comply with local, state and federal payroll regulations and respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required 2 or 4 year degree preferred
  • Hands-on experience in an accounting environment
  • Skilled in MS Excel
  • Thorough understanding of payroll processing, procedures, and payroll tax reports
  • At least 3 years of experience processing payroll
