Job Description

Are you a well-rounded payroll professional? Do you consider yourself to be analytical and comfortable in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting Payroll Analyst opportunity for you! Vaco has a client in Downtown Los Angeles that needs your set of skills. In this role, you will be overseeing the payroll process for multiple divisions of the company, including reporting, audits and management requests or projects. As a qualified candidate for this job, you should have at least three years of high volume, multi-state payroll experience. You should also have strong technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel experience (pivot tables and Vlookup experience required) and ADP experience.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Audit hours and handle any adjustments or discrepancies
  • Oversee employee files for multiple divisions of the company, ensuring all new hires, terminations or changes have been entered properly
  • Process any manual checks, termination checks and balance adjustments
  • Assist employees with any payroll-related questions or concerns

Desired qualifications:

  • 3+ years of high volume, multi-state payroll processing experience
  • Experience with ADP and/or Workday is a huge plus!
  • Strong Excel skills - must be familiar with Pivot Tables and Vlookups
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
