Job Description

Payroll and Benefits Administrator responsibilities include:

* Administer benefit programs (medical, vision, dental, 403(b).
* HRIS Administration and Reporting.
* Manages open enrollment process and benefit plan transfers.
* Set up new hire benefits in Paylocity.
* Process enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.
* Understand, administer, and educate employees on 403B Retirement Plan.
* Manages all leave of absence requests and claims (FMLA, Disability).
* Responsible for worker's compensation benefit claims
* Maintains knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and ensure compliance with each.
* Participate in 403B annual audit.
* Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of benefit program
* Payroll experience with Paylocity a plus
* Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions.
* Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
* Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
* Provides functional and technical expertise related to payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Implements and maintains payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consults with human resources and finance teams to improve payroll and HRIS processes.

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field; CEBS, CPP and/or PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
* At least 5+ years of experience administering payroll, HRIS and benefits processes required. Work experience should include knowledge of human resources, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance or other related experience.
* Experience with PAYLOCITY a plus.
* Experience in benefits administration is a must (medical, dental, vision, 403(b)/401k administration, life and disability insurance)
