In this position, you will be responsible for a bi-weekly payroll for over 1500 employees.

Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:

  • Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll for over 1500 employees
  • Process employee pay and pay-related changes, e.g. pay rates, taxes, direct deposit information, etc.
  • Set up new employees in payroll system
  • Set up garnishments in employee's account in payroll system
  • Terminate employees from payroll system once final check has been processed
  • Complete payroll related mailings, e.g. child support and garnishment interrogatories
  • Coordinate with HR to main list of employees that are on leave and adjust their pay as necessary
  • Enter Short Term Disability payments for payroll processing
  • Respond to payroll and pay-related emails/calls in a timely manner
  • Assist managers/supervisors with any time card adjustments for their employees
  • Prepare ad hoc reports from the payroll system
  • Coordinate with payroll service provider as necessary to resolve any payroll related system issues

Qualifications:

4 year college degree in accounting/finance or course work with an emphasis in accounting or business AND 2+ years payroll processing experience

OR

5+ years of progressive payroll experience
