Job Description

Vaco Staffing has been tasked to find a Payroll Administrator (Payroll Specialist) for a brand new client in the Buckhead/Brookhaven area. The ideal candidate has some basic exposure to payroll coupled with a human resources and/or accounting support background. Salary is $50K-60K annually.

The Payroll Admin will administer and coordinate functions of payroll processing, reporting, data entry and administrative support.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with processing the company's payroll on a weekly basis
  • Prepares payroll tax on semi-annual basis
  • Review accuracy of ADP payroll, corrects discrepancies
  • Responsible for assisting in updating employee records
  • Maintaining of other pay-related files and other payroll related duties
  • Assisting with other HR related projects
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Prepares reports by compiling payroll wage summaries
  • Collect and compile information for adhoc, monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Draft, post and distribute communications including ADP notices

Qualified candidates need to have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of payroll experience
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting (includes payroll) or human resources support experience
  • Working knowledge of ADP is a plus but not required
  • Excellent understanding of payroll and benefits
  • Knowledge of current IRS regulations and state regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Computer skills with specific proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables)
