Job Description

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in Clinton to fill a Payroll Specialist for a direct hire opportunity.

Payroll Specialist compiles employee time, production and payroll data from timesheets and other records. They review timesheets, wages and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.


Duties Include but not limited to:


  • Process Payroll timely and accurately
  • Provide new hire, employee changes, reconciliation updates in system
  • Enters timesheets data and reconciles weekly tally sheets
  • Assists with distribution of weekly pay checks/stubs
  • Assists jobsite to payroll questions


Minimal Qualification


Education

  • High School Graduate


Experience

  • 1-2 years prior business experience is preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of payroll processes and computer skills
  • Good communication skills with a team player attitude
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering payroll information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning payroll financial issues
  • ADP and Viewpoint a plus
