Job Description

Do you have experience in the construction or related industry? We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a growing construction-affiliated company. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of payroll experience and possess strong organization skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing time and attendance
  • Processing weekly payroll for 150-170 employees
  • Processing garnishments, loans, and other third party payments
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local payroll tax laws
  • Reviewing quarterly and annual payroll tax reports for accuracy, including W2, 1099, and 1095C

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Experience with FHWA payroll reporting requirements
  • Experience with employee health and retirement plan benefit programs
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient with relevant software programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong communication (i.e., verbal and written) and inter-personal skills
