Updated 7-6-18 (immediate need temp or temp to perm payroll position to $25/hour)

Due to strong employee growth, one of our largest Alpharetta based clients is seeking a Payroll Assistant/Junior Payroll Specialist. This is a full cycle payroll role with the ideal candidate having some basic exposure to ADP Workforce Now and a passion to grow their expertise working with a great accounting, finance and HR team. This person will need intermediate Excel experience, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. The role is designed for temp to perm and is prepared to compensate up to $25 an hour depending on experience.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Asisting with processing the company's payroll on a weekly basis
  • Full Cycle A/P
  • Prepares payroll tax on semi-annual basis
  • Review accuracy of ADP payrolls
  • Responsible for assisting in updating employee records
  • Maintaining of other pay-related files and other payroll related duties

Qualified candidates need to have:

  • Excel experience (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables)
  • Some Payroll Experience required, ADP preferred
  • Excellent understanding of accounting
  • Knowledge of current IRS regulations and state regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and banking systems
