As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for using ADP to record and process all employee time and payroll data. This will require that youobserve and manage multiple deadlines.

Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:

  • Prepare, review and analyze bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Verify all timecards, correct missed punches and enter time off requests.
  • Calculate and process special checks and ensure proper review, edits and corrections/adjustments are made as needed
  • Prepare routine reports and/or payments to governmental agencies, insurance companies, and others.
  • Run a Termination Report and ensure that accruals are zero and direct deposit is deactivated for those termed employees.
  • Keep abreast of government regulation changes and accurately apply those changes when processing payroll.
  • Provide information to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on a monthly basis.
  • Scan all payroll processing documentation to payroll files and then shred.
  • Assist in the proper reporting of tips in cooperation with the EFE Controller.
  • Provide HR with information for employment verification / unemployment claims.
  • Provide customer service to all levels of company personnel and outside governmental agencies.
  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
  • Pull electronic time cards (Kronos software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact various department supervisors for any missed punches.
  • Compile internal management reports from payroll system software.
  • Update and maintain employee information in time keeping system.
  • Enter new hires and terminations in ADP HRIS system.
  • Biweekly activities to include the following: inputting weekly hours, voiding checks/ manual check as required.
  • Key into ADP any status changes or updates.
  • Be a backup to the Human Resources Generalist when needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years ADP payroll processing experience.
  • Working knowledge of payroll principles.
  • Intermediate experience working of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
