As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for using summit to record and process all employee time and payroll data. This will require that you observe and manage multiple deadlines.

Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:

  • Gather information on hours worked for Client employees.
  • Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, garnishments, bonuses etc. with assistance of payroll software.
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
  • Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks
  • Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
  • Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from clients
  • Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
  • Prepare checks and utilize shipping software to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on the use of Excel.
  • Trustworthy with attention to company and client confidentiality
  • Exemplary customer service skills and experience
  • Associate level of college preferred, will train those with prior payroll experience
