Job Description

Responsible for timely and accurate completion of assigned duties for accomplishment of company-wide Payroll. Verifies receipt of data, seeks out details related to any payroll changes, implements authorized deductions, runs reports, generates uploads as needed to various vendors and or agencies (401K, tax reporting, etc.).


  • Responsible for preparation of payroll, importing data for payroll, resolving discrepancies, managing changes, ensures compliance with court ordered payroll matters (child support, garnishments, etc.). Seeks clarification and obtains missing information as necessary for timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Acts as single point of contact for internal and external customers in order accomplish Payroll function. Answers questions, resolves problems, makes adjustments in accordance with established procedures/process and communicates/passes along information to appropriate parties.
  • Interacts with all levels of team members in order to obtain information necessary for accomplishment of payroll. Follows-up and pursues related data/information on a pro-active basis.
  • Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers by prompt and thorough attention to details in order to document/communicate/pass along information related to accomplishment of Payroll function.
  • Follows established policies and processes for data management including that found on: Vista, Employee Navigator, etc.
  • Responsible for processing weekly disbursements for 401k and HSA Plans.
  • Responsible for accomplishment of month-end closing assignments.
  • Assists with fiscal year end reconciliation and processing of W-2's.
  • Ability to develop additional knowledge of Vista in order to expand knowledge and job scope for future development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications:

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • Associates Degree and minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in accomplishment of payroll. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and administration skills with detail orientation to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain detailed, accurate records.
  • Experience managing multiple projects/jobs; excellent time and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, exercise good judgement, and utilize creativity in problem solving.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality as this position is responsible for and comes into contact with personal, confidential, and protected information on a daily basis.
  • Highly proficient computer skills. Experience with Vista preferred.
  • Team player with ability to participate in planning processes and work with others to meet goals and objectives.
  • Must project positive and professional image to customers, co-workers, and general public.
