As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for using software to record and process all employee time and payroll data. This will require that you observe and manage multiple deadlines.

Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:

  • Tracking and auditing employee time, attendance, and adjustments
  • Maintaining employee vacation/PTO calendars
  • Maintaining database, including all additions, terminations and changes
  • Managing all employee deductions, both mandatory and voluntary
  • Conducting monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliation and reporting
  • Providing overall support to the HR department
  • Assist finance and/or accounting with ad-hoc projects or reports as often as necessary
  • Detail-oriented candidate with a team player mentality.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) a plus
  • Knowledge of appropriate tax laws, payroll deductions, tax rates and maximum allowances for 401k, FSA, and FICA, state disability and other withholdings
  • May involve multi-state payroll and working knowledge of specific state payroll law

Qualifications:
- Experience with MS Office Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 3-5 years of payroll processing
-Any payroll accounting a strong plus!
