As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll department, tax payments, and filings.

Additional responsibilities of the Payroll Accountant include:

  • Process payroll from start to finish and ensure accuracy throughout the entire payroll life-cycle using PayCom.
  • Review time reported, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Analyze and conduct audits, run reports, respond to payroll related questions.
  • Assist with annual audits; quarterly reviews and month end closing projects as needed.
  • Maintain reporting for executive team and managers as requested.
  • Identify and evaluate home/work locations and the need to report hours worked in various states/jurisdictions (multi-state reporting).
  • Assist in preparing audit materials for Internal and External audit controls.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll and prevailing wage laws
  • Provide guidance in certified payroll reporting
  • File and archive documents.
  • Manage other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 - 4 years prior experience in payroll processing
  • Experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting
  • Experience with PayCom is Preferred
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office including mid-level Excel skills (VLOOKUP, comparing files, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on a high volume of projects in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements
