Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing all aspects of payroll administration which includes Preparing, analyzing and entering payroll data to the service provider electronically.
  • Compiles payroll data and statistics for the calculation of payroll and performs complex analysis, and inquiries related to payroll tax, benefits and payroll operations
  • Payroll Processing
  • Lead all payroll functions including: The collection, processing and auditing of biweekly, monthly, non-periodic and special bonus payroll cycles in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established practices, guidelines and procedures.
  • Reviews payrolls to ensure accuracy.
  • Garnishment administration in conjunction with payroll provider.
  • Reconciling vendor invoices for accuracy.
  • Work with payroll vendor to resolve discrepancies, implement new processes and system improvements.
  • Works with Human Resources to update employee payroll information including new employees, change of status employees, and employee terminations.
  • Maintains all vacation, sick, and personal time off accruals. Monitors other employee benefit deductions.
  • Provides assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years Payroll related experience in a mid to large corporate environment.
  • Basic accounting skills required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus.
  • Extensive Working Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task, exercise sound judgment and prioritize conflicting demands with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze/problem solve, determine viable solutions and craft recommendations.
  • High level of confidentiality in handling employee information.
  • Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate while demonstrating the ability to manage highly confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations and laws pertaining to payroll.
