Looking for a Photographer for a well-known company in Memphis!!!

Job Purpose:

Under direction of the Supervisor - Photography, responsible for archiving, proofing, captioning, retouching and delivery of photography in support of the fundraising and awareness needs. Creates compelling photography of events and in studio as needed. Presents a positive image of events, patients, families and employees to the public. Assists in developing and implementing immediate and long-term technology strategies that provide cost-efficient and effective photographic services to Creative Services in support of their overarching strategic plan. Helps maintain photographic resources to meet the creative needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Effectively and accurately captions and tags images to prepare them for archiving. Highly organized to provide proofs in a timely fashion while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrates expertise in imaging and retouching high resolution final files in multiple formats from raw files with a strong attention to detail.
  • Produces compelling, authentic and effective photography that achieves the objectives outlined in creative briefs and project meetings; collaborates with internal creative and content teams to capture a variety of photographic assets including, but not limited to: events, studio shoots including donors, employees, patients and families, speaking engagements, meetings, campus architectural elements and other assignments as needed. Travels to events as assigned.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of photographic equipment and studio lighting to assist with capturing images in a variety situations and locations.
  • Serves as a photography coordinator; works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure photographic needs are met. Requires a deep understanding of industry trends, expertise in photographic technology and best practices. Prepares and presents work in a compelling, organized manner that engages, informs and aligns key stakeholders. Requires the use of a personal computer and photographic equipment.
  • Accurately and timely logs work in the assigned Marketing project management / tracking system; archives and tracks imagery according to departmental standards
  • Responsible for the strict adherence to policies and processes, Better Business Bureau standards, and Federal/State law, including copyright/trademark and HIPAA. Ensures required legal releases are properly obtained and recorded.
  • Uses a high degree of concentration, creativity and technical expertise to strategically provide photography resources that meet the needs of the organization. Manages workflow, scheduling and photography logistics including pre-planning meetings, site visits, editing, archiving and distribution of imagery with a strong attention to detail.
  • Consistently demonstrates and supports the culture pillars and core values; acts in a way that is aligned with the brand. Builds effective relationships with coworkers in a manner that fosters an environment of integrity and trust; takes constructive feedback well. Collaborates and tactfully communicates on a regular basis with diverse groups at multiple levels both inside and outside the organization.
  • Works in partnership with the photography team, providing additional photographic support for projects as needed and assigned.
  • Ensures all photography is aligned with standards. Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm, with appropriate judgment, sensitivity, professionalism, tact and diplomacy in the conduct of work. Operates within departmental and organizational processes to complete assignments.
