Job Description

A Tier-One Automotive Supplier is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Plant Controller will oversee all aspects of Finance and Accounting. The ideal candidate for this Plant Controller role is strong in cost accounting and is self-motivated, a solutions-oriented problem solver, and an effective leader who enjoys mentoring others. This is for someone who is highly driven and enjoys rolling up their sleeves as well as being involved in the big picture strategic aspects of an organization.

What will you do in this Plant Controller position?

  • Leading all aspects of Accounting
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Researching, interpreting and recommending accounting policies
  • Maintaining effective internal controls and efficient systems
  • Recommending improvements to financial controls
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Leading financial audits and interfacing with external auditors
  • Mentoring and developing a team of Accounting professionals (AP, AR, Payroll)

What do you need for this Senior Finance Manager position?

  • 8+ years of experience in a related capacity with progressive career trajectory
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • Masters of Accounting is highly preferred
  • Automotive supplier industry experience is highly preferred
  • Manufacturing experience is a must
