Job Description

Position: Point of Sale Deployment
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

The Candidate will perform all Level I support requirements plus performing problem resolution activities on both POS and retail device issues. Completes all assigned tasks with professionalism and technical expertise. Ensures that quality and activity level goals are achieved in a timely manner. Completes all administrative duties correctly and promptly.

Duties:

  • De-install POS Lanes
  • Install and test IBM Lanes (Scales Calibrated and Certified)
  • Install and test network router/switche
  • Install and test servers/POS controllers
  • Install and test RX workstation
  • Install and test PCs and printers
  • Install and test department scales (Calibrated and Certified)
  • Install and test Veribalance System
  • Install and test MC9XXX Handheld
  • Install Dex Port Plate
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of three (3) years IT Services experience in a retail environment.
  • Minimum of three (1) year direct POS Deployment experience in a retail environment.
  • In possession of Associate's Degree in Electronics, formal PC hardware service courses, or similar military related training.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (Hardware & Software). Any other IT related certifications is a plus
  • Proficiency in desktop support including administration of Windows current and recent versions

Good to have:

  • Knowledge and experience on software and OS deployment
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting retail equipment(scales, printers etc)
  • Basic Knowledge in TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP,
