Pos Technician / Desktop support - 3rd shift in Chicago, IL at Vaco

Job Description

Phone interview Today - Next day start

Need to be able to cover all of chicago area

(Milage will be covered)

4 Month Project with possiblity for extensions

Techs are responsible for:
1. Inventory and un-boxing equipment
2. Installation of Equipment according to documented processes and procedures.
3. On-site request of software downloads, run verification and testing procedures, and communicate status, escalations, and call closure to the Deployment Support Team (DST).
4. Desktop Support and on-site break fix

Job Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation for local travel

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability

Job Responsibilities:

• Deploys and installs POS systems

• Configures hardware and software for the Point of Sale system

• Supports existing stores (Level II Help Desk support) and troubleshoots existing store issues

• Performs upgrades for existing stores

• Tests new equipment and programs

• Ability to work independently without close supervision
