Our client is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join their team!

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)
  • Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Use Microsoft BI Tools to create reports, dashboards, setup Report scheduling, queries, etc.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Power BI knowledge, setup and deployment architecture
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer, Big Data, Data Warehouse Architect or similar Data role
  • Must be proficient with DAX or M
  • Experience using and implementing MS Flow and other Microsoft Power BI applications
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Expertise in MS Azure Cloud and on-prem
  • Experience in Cube developement using SSAS
  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
  • Azure Data administration expertise (Lakes, factories and SQL data warehouse)
  • Proficient with MS O365 and MS software products.
  • Experience with ETL & SSIS
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
