Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, communications or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 4 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, e-Business, Community Outreach and Management
  • 2 years of programmatic planning, fund development and budget experience
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to create and effectively communicate the vision and mission of the Chamber.
  • Strong media relations and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and execute clear goals for the Chamber.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire others to reach a higher goal.
  • Ability to collaborate and build consensus among diverse groups.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with City, County, State, education, and business leaders.
  • Ability to assimilate and become part of the community.
  • Strong financial acumen (strategic view/funding needs).
  • Ability to design, interpret and communicate complex information and reporting.
  • Proficient in computer operations for general business purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development, implementation and management of marketing and fundraising strategies;
  • Development and implementation of programs based on membership and community needs
  • Ensure that program budgets are communicated to the appropriate stakeholders and monitored to ensure that programs operate within the budget approved by the board.
  • Strategic planning direction and tactical execution of strategic plans
  • Chamber representation in public events
  • Development and administration of Chamber budget and partnerships with Chamber suppliers
  • Serve as media liaison, spokesperson of the Chamber
  • Serve as liaison with other community organizations
  • Promote the Chamber's legislative agenda by participating in all relevant forums while staying abreast of the political/economic social climate
  • Reporting to the Board of Directors on all Chamber matters.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in public relation and community events
  • Manage the annual performance review process and compensation plan for Chamber staff
  • Establish and communicate goals, expectations and feedback to Chamber staff
  • Promote a nourishing relationship with community partners
  • Review and approve press releases and media information
  • Work closely with Board Chair on Chamber activities and programs
