The Product Manager will be responsible for helping to develop and implement product and portfolio strategies for the platform. This would include being a key contributor to the overall program and involve participation and guidance of product development, product positioning/messaging, forecasting, pricing and other promotional strategies. This position involves extensive interaction with several product development teams and surgeon advisors. This position will require seamless collaboration with Regional Sales & Marketing teams to develop, validate and execute product launches. In addition, this position also involves work with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Quality, Clinical & Regulatory) to drive project progress and segment growth. Requires marketing acumen and knowledge of medical device and orthopedic markets.

Essential Functions

  • Participate effectively as a team player with knowledge and expertise.
  • Effectively develop, lead, and execute business plans to meet current and future needs.
  • Demonstrate effective planning and prioritization skills and establishes self as expert for product franchise and job responsibilities and will critically examine market dynamics to support strategic and tactical marketing plans with customer interaction.
  • Provide day to day management of product issues, marketing programs and sales support in the field.
  • Demonstrate high quality standards.
  • Drive overall short and long-term strategy.
  • Drive product development activities for the segment, as well as ensure collaboration with US & OUS Regional marketing counterparts to support inventory needs, forecasting models, product positioning, & launch strategies.
  • Develop sustainable relationships with Worldwide KOL's, Sales, Cross-Functional, Marketing, and Regional leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships between cross functional teams such as sales, marketing, clinical, R&D, operations, and/or other key functional stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills as well as effective planning and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Successful candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work autonomously to deliver business results.
  • Successful candidates will have a documented history of receiving and managing increasingly complex assignments.
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, Healthcare, or a technical related field.
  • 3 years' business experience in Medical Device or Diagnostics sector.
  • Experience managing implantable medical device product lines.
  • Prior experience working with healthcare professionals.
  • 5 years minimum of previous product launch experience in medical devices.
  • Familiarity with spine pathology, procedures and implants.
  • Medical device sales experience
  • Experience with high technology products, such as visualization, medical imaging, surgical navigation systems or software enabled surgery.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
