Finance / Accounting Manager (Financial Management / CPA)

Job Responsibilities

As an Accounting Manager, you will direct financial activities such as planning, procurement, and investments for all parts of the organization.

Additional responsibilities include:

    • Reports to the Property Controller and oversee the day to day functions of the Property Accounting department
    • Assists and trains Property Accountants on residential property management accounting functions including journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, debt service and other monthly procedures
    • Instrumental in designing and building in-house processes for property accounting
    • Serve as an accounting liaison to Property Management, Acquisitions, Asset Management, and other groups within the firm in order to facilitate collaboration and success for the Accounting department
    • Manages the accounting close process and reviews monthly reporting packages prepared by Property Accountants
    • Assists with development of documents and maintains necessary internal controls, policies and procedures regarding property accounting
    • Provides ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects, as needed
    • Coordinates interim and year end audits as they relate to property level requests from external auditor
