Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Company's monthly financial statements; including STAT, GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Perform tasks in support of reinsurance function; including reconciliation with G/L, maintenance of reinsurance database, and preparation of monthly reports.
  • Prepare filings for various state and regulatory agencies.
  • Generate monthly journal entries, reporting and settlements.
  • Coordinate information needed for audits by various financial and regulatory agencies.
  • Support annual budget process.
  • Identify changes related to regulatory reporting and statutory accounting standards

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in property and casualty insurance preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting is required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Great Plains and Microsoft Office
