Purchasing Assistant

Department Responsibilities:

  • Utilize rates of sale to create, batch and send PO's to vendors for catalog, website and store
  • Enter acknowledgements and update all PO's with ETA's
  • Follow up on unconfirmed / past due PO's in order to maintain accurate and up-to-date ETA's in system at all times
  • Create, batch and send drop-ship PO's for SKUs not carried in our warehouse
  • Monitor tracking of drop-ship PO's and invoice customers once shipped by vendor
  • Immediate responses to Call Center customer inquiries (one call resolution)
  • Work with other internal departments and vendors to clear damage and defect claims

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Pro-active, hands-on, and collaborative team player
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical abilities and capability to provide concise analysis to support Purchasing decisions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Excel
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate via all media
