Job Description

Vaco has been engaged by a stable yet fast-growing company to identify a Purchasing Manager to add to their team. This person will be responsible for overall purchasing operations and will partner with executive management as well as outside vendors to reach advantageous terms and agreements. Additionally, the Purchasing Manager will monitor and document all purchasing and look for ways to improve operations. The incumbent will purchase all materials, parts and supplies necessary to the operation of the company and will participate in audits, reviewing of pricing, negotiations with vendors, as well as completing evaluations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred or a related field
  • Three years of experience in procurement/purchasing operations
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiating skills
