Job Description


To work on tools for Quality Assurance Automation as well as other tasks written in C# and SpecFlow


  • Work directly with QA and/or Development to create or update tools and automation test script features, ready for use in QA/Development testing.
  • Maintains/updates automated regression tests
  • Maintains/updates automation SQL database
  • Designs and builds tools to assist in Quality Assurance and Development tasks
  • Supports/mentors QA resources on automation use/updates
  • Assesses impacts of and estimates for work requests


Minimum requirements (essential)

  • Minimum 2 years previous development or QA automation experience
  • .NET, C# and an understanding of Web Development
  • Strong object oriented programming skills
  • Experience with MS SQL Server 2008/2012 and ORM tools
  • Able to create and update tables, views, stored procedures and user defined functions
  • Experience with source code management tools (Visual Studio / TFS)
  • Experience with debugging code using Visual Studio
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Automation and Tools Development
  • Experience in Front End Automation as well as Unit Testing
  • Can work as part of a team to ensure their tasks are complete in a timely manner
  • Motivated to learn new technologies independently
  • Ability to self-manage work and prioritize tasks
  • Resourceful and innovative while diagnosing and resolving technical and/or business problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional requirements (desirable)

  • Automation experience with Selenium web drivers and servers
  • Experience working with agile methods of delivery
  • Experience with one or more of the following
  • MVC 5
  • Javascript
  • JQuery
  • SpecFlow
  • Prior QA Analyst experience
  • Experience creating or working with Automation test frameworks
  • Clear understanding of architectural concepts and software design
  • Experienced with open source community (IRC, Wiki, Boards, etc.)

Additional information

It is possible you will be required to work early mornings, evenings and at weekends either on an occasional basis or for specific purposes.

The successful applicant will be required to remain in a seated position to perform tasks.

The successful applicant will be required to perform tasks involving fine finger movements i.e. keyboard operation, writing.
