SUMMARY:
Senior tester and developer responsible for finding ways to reduce manual testing and developing automated testing software and scripts that address the functional, regression, and performance testing requirements of complex applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience developing testing software with an object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, Ruby) or scripting language (JavaScript, VBScript, Groovy).
  • Experience converting a manual testing process to a fully automated testing suite or application.
  • Experience identifying the portions of an application that are most likely to lead to failures and cause production incidents and developing automated tests that regularly stress these potential failure-points in the application.
  • Create and execute automated tests for functional, system, regression and integration tests and working experience with automated testing tools.
  • Testing experience with Web Services (XML, SOAP, REST), Web Widgets, Web Applications, and MVC Framework.
  • Working experience with Web Service testing tools (SoapUI or JMeter).
  • Strong understanding of databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server) and familiar with related SQL tools.
  • Able to partner with business and IT to create and execute test plans, test scripts and test cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track defects and log them by severity and root cause in defect tracking tool.
  • Define and track quality assurance test metrics and report on outcomes to management.
  • Provide level of effort estimates to management.
  • Work with business units to obtain sign-off on test results prior to movement to production.
  • Support testing of client and product launches, eCommerce and web applications, etc.
  • Attend project meetings and review requirements.
  • Participate in defect review meetings and prioritize defect remediation work.
  • Proactively identifies and makes recommendations to QA Team for process improvements.
  • Act as a resource to less experienced Associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of testing experience.
  • 2-3 years of automation/development experience.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
  • PC Skills: Microsoft Windows, SQL, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
