Job Description



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade test scripts, utilities, data sets, and other test tools required to execute test plans.

  • Develop and maintain the automated test framework for our API graphql implementation and our single-page web application.

  • Work closely with product owners, developers and QA specialists on product design and provide thought leadership on test approaches and test scenarios.

  • Organize and maintain the test script library for assigned area or application(s).

  • Build code that is well-written according to team development guidelines and software best practices

  • Participate in planning meetings, help team create well-written stories and consider customer risks when prioritizing

  • Communicate and collaborate with team members across geographical, technical, and functional boundaries

  • Willing and eager to be part of the solution to a problem. Taking the strategic plans and making the tactical implementations happen in code

  • Other duties as assigned



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of web application testing automation

  • 5 years of information systems development experience

  • Experience with a web application testing automation tool required such as Selenium Webdriver

  • Expertise in continuous integration pipeline planning and execution as it relates to all stages of development from exploratory testing for development in-flight through regression test certification for production deployments and component verification for the actual production deployment

  • Some experience with continuous integration systems configuration and management

  • Must understand the technical concepts of APIs, services, web deployments, single-page web applications, web security, and source control software

  • Experience using multiple languages, such as Node.js, Javascript, Java and Scala

  • Great communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work across various teams

  • Knowledge of unit, integration, and user acceptance testing practices and concepts

  • Experience using RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, DB2): queries, updates, and deletes

  • Willing and motivated to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment

  • Ability to travel as needed, no more than 10% of the time



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Experience with HTTP tools such as Postman, Fiddler, JMeter

  • Experience with Amazon 'Web Services services and service offerings

  • Experience using multiple languages, such as Node.js, Javascript, Java

  • Experience with creating and consuming XML / JSON documents

  • Experience communicating over various network protocols (HTTP, JMS, etc.)

  • Experience with front-ends using React / Vue

  • Experience delivering solutions to the auto auction industry
