Job Description:

The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for the day to day activities of the entire QA Staff. They will ensure that all test plans are being maintained, continued automation of the test plans are happening, and the architecture necessary is in place to facilitate that testing exists and is properly maintained.

Responsibilities / Essential Duties:

  • Defines and implements IT quality assurance practices and procedures
  • Manages a group of quality assurance analysts who test, evaluate, and validate IT initiatives and identify issues in software or services
  • Analyzes discrepancies in service or performance and makes recommendations for product or service updates
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
  • Familiar with VM's, Windows, IIS, SQL, NT, UNIX and/or Solaris environments
  • Knowledge of SDLC
  • Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Strong team player, ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the organization
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to develop professionally

Education / Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance process is preferred
