Job Description


GENERAL PURPOSE: The Quality Analyst is responsible for testing and auditing new software, reports, and processes. The Quality Analyst is required to quickly gain knowledge of and familiarity with the business unit and/or project requirements.

TESTCOMPLETE is a requirement for this job.
Prior or Current HEALTHCARE experience is a requirement for this job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Review and understand business requirement, software specification, system architecture and database.
* Develop test cases to ensure all applicable quality standards and business requirement are adequately performed by the system or processes.
* Execute and automate test cases using automated tool such as TestComplete.
* Clearly communicate details of bugs, problems, and design inconsistencies, severity, and priority to development, business area, and management teams using SharePoint.
* Work with developer to resolve bugs.
* Monitor and follow up on bug reports, enhancements, re-works; re-testing after fixes.
* Perform analysis to improve quality of system or processes.
* Provide input to the product design and enhancement process for elements that affect usability, security, data integrity, and errors.
* Ability to create and execute security related test cases and working knowledge of OWASP top 10 rules.

Knowledge & Skills:
* 5 years of experience in the software and/or healthcare industry working with modular enterprise-style web software, or database applications.
* 5 year experience writing test automation using TestComplete.
* Previous experience with software support ticket/CRM and bug reporting tools helpful, including Jira and SharePoint.
* Basic proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, SQL,.NET (C#/VB), XML, HTML, SharePoint and Excel.
* Knowledge of software security, usability, and interface standards.
* Analytical approach to problem-solving combined with a strong user-focus.
* Must be detailed oriented and have effective project planning and execution skills.

Education & Experience:
  • An undergraduate degree in computer science or a related discipline required;
  • 5 years of experience in risk management, setting up internal controls and familiarity with IT/IS governance processes; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
