Job Description

The Recovery Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio for obtaining reimbursement for clients' self-funded health plans via the subrogation / recovery process. Under moderate supervision, this position requires proper phone etiquette, an understanding of relevant legal issues, attention to detail, excellent computer skills and sharp negotiation skills to maximize recoveries for clients. This position presents rapid growth opportunity within the company for employees who wish to increase their knowledge and skill set in the industry.


  • Reviews and prioritizes files to determine recovery potential
  • Notifies all applicable parties of our client's interest so funds to reimburse our client are secured
  • Obtains status updates on cases in a timely manner
  • Responds to correspondence and requests from attorney and adjusters timely and accurately
  • Ensures that case information is entered accurately and clearly
  • Uses legal arguments to settle our clients' reimbursement claims for the best possible result
  • Ensures that funds are received in a timely manner


  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and handle a high-volume workload
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented and flexible
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information

Minimum Education / Experience:

  • 3-5 years' related work experience and/or a bachelor's degree in a healthcare or legal related field
