Job Description

Job duties may range from screening job candidates and conducting interviews; performing background checks and providing orientation to new employees; researching and generating leads in order to effectively meet recruitment goals.
The Recruiting Specialist performs independently and coordinates recruitment efforts while serving as primary point of contact and ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.

DUTIES: ESSENTIAL Creates and places job postings for new and existing company positions.
Ensures legal compliance and validity of recruitment and related activities by educating managers, supervisors and staff on policies and procedures; Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, job fairs, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits; makes presentations; maintains rapport.
Interfaces and collaborates with store management to fill store openings; examines hiring process and modifies recruitment strategy based on needs.
Coordinates new hire orientations for new and replacement positions at (new) stores and corporate level. Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites. Attends recruitment events as deems necessary. Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements. Scouts qualified restaurant personnel by visiting competitor's locations Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; when necessary, arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorts applicant to interviews; arranges restaurant tours. Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications. Consults appropriate salary placements and offer details with hiring managers. Utilizes restaurant knowledge to approach recruitment needs and make hiring decisions. Sorts and reviews resume either on-line or received in paper format; sources and contacts candidate. Follows up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans; analyzes and recommends strategies to improve process and operations.
Compiles statistics and reports as required.
Improves organization attractiveness by emphasizing benefits and perks to candidates.
Administers Recruitment Manager's selection matrix for choosing the optimum recruitment channel and recruitment source; makes recommendations as needed. Audits processes as required and works to rectify issues.
Participates in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, and systems. Develops and implements best market practices for recruitment and staffing within the organization. Builds a quality relationship with internal customers and external recruitment agencies; partners with other entities. Creates, monitors and distributes resource materials to all locations while analyzing recruitment trends. Prepares and delivers weekly update recruitment reports at HR Department meeting. Interfaces with Public Relations/Promotions Department in the creation of recruitment materials. Administers the social media communication strategy set by the Recruiting Manager for different job profiles and functions in the organization. Conducts job interviews for corporate entry level job positions.

Acts as a point of contact for store managers regarding recruitment topics.
Travels to store openings to recruit and on-board new employees.
Other tasks as assigned by Recruitment Manager. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
